Made 17 appearances and five starts for the Cougars...Went 1-4 with a 4.82 ERA with three saves...Combined for two shutouts...Tossed 46.2 innings, striking out 35 and walking just seven...Started the first four Sunday's of the season before moving to bullpen...Notched three saves in one week and two in series sweep at New Mexico (March 20-21)...Earned first career save in 1.1 hitless innings in win over Rice (March 17)...Went a career-long 9.0 innings, notching a career-high 11 strikeouts in final collegiate game vs. Rice in NCAA Regional (May 31)... Made 13 starts for the Cougars' pitching staff...Primarily saw action as Houston's midweek starter, while making a few late C-USA starts...Finished with a 5-5 record and a 3.88 ERA...Struck out 43 in 67.1 innings, walking just 18...Was 3-0 through his first five starts...Recorded wins over Houston Baptist (Feb. 27), at Baylor (March 12), vs. Texas (March 19), Texas Southern (April 16) and vs. UAB (May 12)...Best start came in 5.1 inning, six strikeout effort vs. Texas at Cougar Field...Didn't allow an earned run or a walk in the performance...Went on to strikeout six in a 6.1 inning no-decision at Tulane (May 5) and a career-long 7.0 inning win over UAB (May 12)...Didn't allow a walk through the first 18.0 innings of the year...Was instrumental in Houston's 10-3 midweek record.

FRESHMAN (2012)
As a true freshman, made 10 starts on the bump for third-most on the team...
