    Started all 50 games in which he appeared and was a regular in the Cougar starting lineup at third base... Led team with eight home runs and 58 strikeouts... Blasted six of his home runs against C-USA opponents... Batted 2-for-6 in the first game of a doubleheader at Louisville... Went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against Memphis in the series finale...     Spent one season at Hill JC before transferring to UH...Coached by Gary Benton and Patrick Woods... Was an All-Conference First Team honoree after blasting 15 home runs.. Batted 9-for-16 with a home run, four doubles and eight RBIs against McClennan JC... Spent one year at Salt Lake CC during the 2000-01 school year... Coached by Bill Groves... Honored as the team's Most Valuable Player and was an All-Conference First Team selection... Batted 9-for-12 in series against Treasure Valley JC.... Smashed eight home runs with a wooden bat to lead team.

    HIGH SCHOOL
    Prepped at Mountain Crest High in Hyrum, Utah, for head coach Stephen Harren... Was an Class 4A All-State honoree for three years and named MVP for three seasons... Received Golden Glove Award... Also played point guard for basketball team and was a wide receiver and tailback for the football squad... Blasted two game-winning home runs in the same day to propel his team into the championship game of the state tournament as a junior.
