You can reach Director of Baseball Operations Traci Cauley at tcauley@central.uh.edu. Traci Cauley enters her seventh year as the director of operations for the Cougar Baseball program and works in all non-coaching aspects. In her current role, she coordinates all contracts and travel, serves as the team's special events coordinator and works as a liaision to visiting teams and Athletics Department staff. In addition, Cauley assists with recruiting, handles registration and accounting for all Cougar Baseball Camps, manages correspondence and relations with alumni, former players and program supporters and coordinates all new student-athletes' enrollment into classes. Cauley also assists in budget preparation and implementation and supervises the daily office functions of Cougar Baseball. During the last three seasons, she has added the responsibility of monitoring a portion of the team's academic progress. In 2005, the Cougar Baseball program posted a cumulative 2.97 team grade point average - the highest by any men's athletic team during the school year - and showed the biggest improvement of any team from the previous year. Before joining the UH Baseball staff in 2002, Cauley worked for seven years as an elementary school teacher, educating students in the third, fourth and fifth grades. She is a life-long supporter of the UH Athletics Department and is a Lifetime member of the Houston Alumni Organization. Cauley earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1995 from the University of Houston. During her days as an undergraduate at UH, Cauley also worked in the football office and in the athletic director's office. A native Houstonian, she was a 1991 graduate of Cypress Creek High. Her parents, Ken and Judy Baxter, began her interest in UH at a young age, and the family's commitment and dedication to Cougar Athletics has remained constant through the years. She is married to Pat Cauley, a former UH baseball player and assistant coach and current radio analyst for the Cougars. They live in Houston. |
