2006-07 C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll

Competed for the Coppell Copperheads of the Texas Collegiate League.

Made his collegiate debut as a reserve against Stephen F. Austin during the season opener... Slapped a single in his only plate appearance against the Lumberjacks... Earned his first career start against No. 6 Arizona State during the final day of the Houston College Classic... Went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBIs against Sam Houston State... Was lost for 4-6 weeks after being hit by a pitch and breaking his left arm during the middle game of the Princeton series... Returned to the lineup for the first time since March 11 and scored the tying run as a pinch runner in the ninth inning at No. 23 Tulane during the middle game of the series... Blasted a double and later scored at Marshall during the series finale. C-USA Tournament: Laced a pinch-hit single and eventually scored against Memphis during the first round.

Played for head coach Don English.. Four-year varsity letterwinner and was the team's starting catcher for his final three seasons... Member of the A & B Honor Roll... Also was recruited by Texas, Arizona, Arizona State, Texas A&M and Louisiana-Lafayette. Senior (2006): Named team captain... Helped lead squad to District 6-5A championship... Batted .318 with five home runs and 29 RBIs... Blasted two home runs and added four RBIs in the season opener against Keller High... Honored as District Defensive Player of the Year... Named to the NTHSCA All-Star Game. Junior (2005): Named the District 6-5A Defensive Player of the Year after helping lead the Cowboys to a 30-11 record... Helped lead team to the District co-championship and a berth in the Class 5A Region I semifinals... Represented the Texas Rangers' market at the prestigious Area Code Games in August... Batted 2-for-6 with a pair of walks... Threw out three would-be base stealers... Broke up a no-hitter against the Brewers-Grey. Sophomore (2004): Named to the Baylor-Grapevine All-Tournament Team.
