    Attended San Jacinto JC for two seasons before transferring to Houston... Played for head coach Chris Rupp and Tom Arrington...Was an all-conference award-winner after batting a team-best .386 with 11 doubles, two home runs and 28 RBIs... Struck out only seven times in 215 at bats and swiped seven bases... On the mound, posted a 1-1 record with a 2.25 ERA and 13 strikeouts in only 8.0 innings of work...Helped lead team to a 43-18 record in 2000 and a fourth-place national ranking.
