Earned First Team 5A All-State honors at Mayde Creek High from the Texas Baseball Coaches Association as a junior second baseman in 1999... Was named Second Team All-State by the Texas Sports Writers... Three-time All-District 19-5A selection for Rams? coach Emery Pustejovsky, including second team honors as a senior in 2000 and sophomore in 1998.

Born on November 2, 1981, in Houston... Parents are Ike and Shirley Lucas... Father was a three-year baseball letterman for the University of Houston who earned All-America honors in 1966 and helped lead UH to the national runner-up finish at the College World Series in 1967... Was also recruited by Texas A&M and Baylor.
