Three-time all-district third baseman at Pearland, earning first team accolades as a senior (24-5A) and sophomore in 1998 (then 23-5A), as well as second-team (24-5A) honors as a junior in 1999... Led the Oilers to the Regional Semifinals and a 22-13 record... Coached by Tony Thompson... maintained a career batting average of .415 with 11 home runs... Batted .388 with seven home runs, 31 RBIs and 35 steals as a senior.
