Made an appearance as designated hitter, finishing with one scored run against Southern Miss (May 14)...Went 1-for-4 with one RBI in the series finale against the Golden Eagles (May 15)...Led the team with a 3-for-3 performance against UTSA, including a double and two scored runs (May 17)...Finished 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two scored runs against Memphis (May 21).

JUNIOR (2010)

After playing in the season opener against Kansas State, missed several games due to hand surgery... Returned to action March 21 at first base... Went 1-for-2 to record two runs, one RBI, one walk, a sacrifice fly and a double against Louisiana-Lafayette (March 24)... Batted 1-for-4 with an RBI against Tulane in the series finale (March 29)... Was 1-for-1, coming in to play first base after pitching 2.0 innings giving up three hits, two runs, with three strikeouts against UTSA (April 1)... Played for head coach Kent Meador... Competed for the Kyle Chapman All-Stars, which won the 2006 Premier Fall Championship in Arizona... Worked in Education for Life Outdoors, a non-profit organization that teaches fishing and boating to underprivileged children. Senior (2007): Helped lead the Tigers to a 36-6 overall record and a berth in the semifinals of the state playoffs... Standout on the mound and at the plate... Batted .409 with five home runs, 41 RBIs and 19 doubles... Threw to an 11-1 record with a 1.99 ERA and 79 strikeouts... Member of the All-Greater Houston First Team as a utility player and was the District 16-5A Most Valuable Player.. Houston 5A Baseball Association All-Houston First-Team honoree and was an All-State Second-Team selection as a pitcher. Junior (2006): Selected to All-District 14-5A Second Team as a first baseman after batting .287 with 10 doubles and 18 RBIs... Compiled a 1.96 ERA with a 6-4 record and 45 strikeouts in 53.2 innings... Helped lead the Tigers to the 5A Region II finals... Allowed only one run off three hits in a playoff game against Pflugerville High... Threw a two-hit shutout against Naaman Forest High... Voted team Most Valuable Player by his teammates.
