HOUSTON – Houston Baseball’s Tuesday game vs. McNeese State was suspended due to rain in the top of the ninth inning with the Cougars holding a 5-2 lead. The game is scheduled to be finished on April 29 in Lake Charles, La. as both teams were scheduled to meet for the second time this season.
Official stats from tonight’s eight complete innings played will not be official until April 29 when the game has been completed.
The Cougars fell down 2-0 and rallied back in the eighth with five hits, including a game-tying homerun by sophomore Justin Montemayor and a go-ahead two-run double by senior Jacob Lueneburg to take a 5-2 lead.
The game will resume in the top of the ninth with McNeese hitting and a 1-2 count.
