Baseball Drops Game One to No. 12 TCU, 15-1
April 9, 2010
HOUSTON - The University of Houston baseball team dropped the first game of a three-game series to No. 12 TCU, 15-1, Friday night at Cougar Field. The Cougars fall to 13-15 on the year and are now 51-41-2 all-time against the Horned Frogs. A bases loaded walk plated TCU's first run in the second inning and a two-run single by Jerome Pena gave them a 3-0 lead. The Cougars followed that up in what would be their only run of the night when Codey Morehouse scored off Austin Gracey's RBI single to left field in the bottom of the inning. TCU extended their lead to five, 6-1, in the third inning and Jason Coatts hit the first of three Horned Frog home runs in the fourth. Houston surrendered two runs in each of the next two innings, before TCU scored four in the sixth inning. A single run in the seventh gave the Horned Frogs their final total of the game.
