Millington, Tenn. - Pitchers Jared Ray and Donnie Joseph guided the Cougars to a 1-0 shutout victory over Memphis on Friday night in the series opener against the Tigers at USA Stadium.

With the win, Houston improves to 16-20 on the season and 6-4 in league play.
