Baseball to Share in Fan Experience Saturday

    Jan. 30, 2014

HOUSTON – Houston Baseball will embark on its 2014 season at 1 p.m. this Saturday when it welcomes back Cougar Greats and current MLB players to Cougar Field to share in Fan Appreciation Day and Alumni Game.

The 2014 Alumni Game will showcase Houston’s historic program with names that have graced baseball’s highest stage, won prestigious awards at the professional level and whom represented Houston Baseball during their playing days in a Cougar uniform.

Fan Appreciation Day will allow fans to also receive a sneak peek of the 2014 Houston Baseball team, win great prizes, receive schedule cards and posters for free and participate in an autographed session with current and former players during the day’s events.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take advantage of autographs from our MLB Coogs. The professional players will sign autographs near the start of the game, while the current 2014 team will sign following the conclusion of the game.

Prizes will be given away between innings and include autographed baseballs, free admission to a Cougar Baseball Camp and the opportunity to become a bat kid for a game. Pregame kids can participate in ‘Anthem Buddies’ and postgame kids are invited to run the bases.
