Houston Baseball vs. Rice on April 20 to be Televised on FOX Sports Net

IRVING, Texas -- Houston Baseball's April 20 contest vs. Rice at Cougar Field has been selected to be televised nationally on FOX Sports Net, announced by Conference USA on Thursday afternoon. The originally scheduled 6:30 pm CT game will now be played at 12:30 pm CT. This televised contest will mark the ninth time FOX Sports Net has picked a Houston Baseball game. The Cougars hold a 4-4 overall record on this selected network, with its last game coming in a 4-3, 10-inning heartbreaking fall at Rice last season. Since 1985, Houston has appeared on 14 networks, accumulated a 25-39 overall record with wins over Rice, Arkansas, TCU, Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma State and Baylor. The 2013 season will mark the ninth straight year and 13th of the last 14 years Houston Baseball will be be televised on a selected network. Houston still has the opportunity to be selected by other networks during the 2013 season as this is the first preliminary list to be released by Conference USA. The final day (Sunday, May 26) of the Conference USA Baseball Championship will appear nationally on CBS Sports Network at 1 pm CT at Reckling Park in Houston, Texas.
