HOUSTON - The University of Houston's baseball game on Saturday against No. 2 LSU was rained out, head coach Rayner Noble announced in the early afternoon.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at 1 p.m., Sunday at Cougar Field. The nightcap of the twinbill will begin approximately 45 minutes after the first game ends. Fans who had purchased tickets for Saturday's game in advance will be able to redeem those tickets for the SECOND game of Sunday's doubleheader.

The games can be heard live on KGBC 1540 AM or over the Internet at www.UHCougars.com with former Cougar players Nick Torina and Pat Cauley calling all the action. In addition, fans also can follow play-by-play action by clicking on the "Gametracker" link on the schedule at www.UHCougars.com.

Fans will need tickets for each game of the doubleheader as Cougar Field will be cleared after the first game.

The Cougars claimed an early lead in the weekend series after taking a 2-1 win over the Tigers on Friday night.
