Houston Baseball Central Debuts March 23

HOUSTON – Houston Baseball fans will gain an even closer look into the program, as Houston Baseball Central will air on ROOT SPORTS Southwest on Thursdays throughout the spring season, beginning with its 2017 debut on March 23 at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Head Coach Todd Whitting will join host Jeremy Branham each week to discuss recent and upcoming games and talk about the latest news in Houston Baseball.

Episodes will air at 5:30 p.m. CT, Thursdays, each week with one show set to air at 4 p.m. CT and one at 5 p.m. CT due to conflicts with the Houston Astros’ schedule.

The first Houston Baseball Central show will air on Thursday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. CT on ROOT SPORTS Southwest and will feature Whitting and a select baseball student-athlete.

Houston Baseball Central with Todd Whitting tapings will take place in the Valenti School's Funston Communications Center studios and production facilities with Valenti students holding several production roles under the leadership of Valenti School Director Temple Northup and the Houston Athletics Video Production team.

Houston fans can find ROOT SPORTS Southwest in Houston on AT&T U-verse channels 758 in SD and 1758 in HD, on DIRECTV channel 674 and on Comcast channels 39 in SD and 639 in HD. The network's programming schedule is available on ROOTSports.com.

In addition to ROOT SPORTS Southwest in Houston, DIRECTV also operates three other ROOT SPORTS Southwest networks in Pittsburgh, Denver and Seattle.
