Saturday's Baseball Game at Memphis Washed Out; DH Set for Sunday

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — With rain continuing to fall the Memphis area, Houston Baseball’s originally scheduled Saturday game against the Tigers has been washed out. The two teams will now meet on Sunday in a double-header (two seven-inning games) beginning at 10:30 a.m.
     
    Houston is 22-5 and 4-0 in Conference USA play, winning the series opener, 3-1, over the Tigers on Friday night. Memphis sits at 14-12 overall and 1-3 in league play.
     
    Senior RHP Austin Pruitt (5-1, 2.36 ERA) will face off against Memphis starter LHP Erik Schoenrock (3-1, 2.21 ERA) in Game 1 on Sunday. For Game 2, Houston’s starter is still listed as TBA, while the Tigers will throw LHP Alex Gunn (1-2, 1.52 ERA).

    UP NEXT
    Following the weekend, Houston will return home to host Sam Houston State at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cougar Field before hitting the road for the second straight weekend to play Marshall in a three-game C-USA series in Charleston, West Virginia.
