    HOUSTON -- Due to inclement weather in the Houston area, the baseball game featuring No. 19 Houston (23-6) and Sam Houston State (15-12) on Tuesday has been cancelled. A makeup date is currently under discussion for the non-conference matchup. More updates to follow when they come available.
     
    The Cougars are 23-6 and 15-2 at home this season and are riding a nine-game home winning streak.
     
    TICKET INFORMATION
    Previously purchased tickets for tonight's game will be honored if a rescheduled game is announced. For more information or ticket concerns, please contact the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713-GO-COOGS.

    For the second straight week, Houston Baseball appeared as one of the nation's Top 25, polling in at No. 19 in Baseball America - moving up one spot from its No. 20 debut last week. College Baseball Newspaper continued to rank the Cougars at No. 20 for the second straight week, while Perfect Game USA also kept Houston at No. 22 for the second consecutive week. USA Today Coaches Poll ranked Houston at No. 20 this week as the Coogs polled in at No. 19 a week ago.

    Houston will be hitting the road for the second straight weekend to play Marshall in a three-game C-USA series in Charleston, West Virginia. The three-game series begins on Friday at 1:05 p.m. CT, continues at 1:05 p.m. CT on Saturday and wraps up at 9:05 a.m. CT on Sunday.
