BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - With the threat of rain in the area growing later in the evening, the University of Houston baseball team's starting time for Friday's series opener at Conference USA rival UAB was moved up to 5 p.m., head coach Rayner Noble announced Friday morning.

The game was originally scheduled for 7 p.m., but heavy rain was expected to hit the Birmingham area later in the evening, prompting Noble, UAB head coach Brian Shoop and the three-man umpiring crew to move the game up two hours.

As of 11:20 a.m., Friday, the starting times for the final two games of the series remains the same. The series continues at 2 p.m, Saturday before wrapping up at noon, Sunday.
