HOUSTON - With the threat of severe weather moving in the Houston area, the University of Houston baseball team's game against area-rival Sam Houston State was postponed Tuesday, head coach Rayner Noble announced.

The game will be made up at Cougar Field at 7 p.m., Wednesday when the weather forecast will be considerably better.

"For the safety of fans and student-athletes on both teams, we believed pushing back our game against Sam Houston State one more day was the best decision for everyone," Noble said about the postponement.

Wednesday's game can be heard live on www.UHCougars.com with former letterwinners Nick Torina and Pat Cauley calling all the action. Fans also can follow live stats by clicking on the "Gametracker" link at www.UHCougars.com.
