HOUSTON - The University of Houston baseball team's non-conference game against Louisiana-Lafayette that was scheduled for Wednesday, has been cancelled and will not be made up, head coach Rayner Noble recently announced.

The game, which was originally scheduled for March 13 but rained out, had been rescheduled for Wednesday. However, the Cajuns were unable to play the game on the latter date due to their school's final examinations schedule.

The Cougars return to action this weekend when they meet Memphis pivotal, three-game Conference USA series from Nat Buring Stadium. The series begins at 6:30 p.m., Friday and continues at 2 p.m., Saturday before wrapping up at 1 p.m., Sunday. Cougar Baseball games can be heard live on UHCougars.com with former UH letterwinners Nick Torina and Pat Cauley calling all the action. The pregame show is slated to begin about 15 minutes before first pitch.

Fans always can follow live stats by clicking on the "Gametracker" link on the front page of UHCougars.com or on the "Schedule and Results" page off the Baseball main page.
