Houston is on a two-game winning streak, after taking two of three from No. 12 Southern Miss last weekend at Cougar Field and will look to improve its 24-27 overall record. The series win helped the Cougars clinch a spot in the 2011 Conference USA Baseball Championship presented by Trustmark, May 25-28 in Pearl, Miss.

Against the Golden Eagles, UH got solid pitching performances out of freshman Dustin Fuerst and junior Mo Wiley. Fuerst pitched a career-long five innings, allowing one run, to earn his first win as a Cougar in Saturday's 6-5 victory. Wiley came in to give the Cougars a series win, pitching the first complete game of his career in Sunday's 6-1 win.

Senior Caleb Ramsey leads the Cougars at the plate with a .321 batting average, 16 doubles, three triples and 43 RBIs. Sophomore Chase Jensen ranks second on the team with a .319 batting average and 41 RBIs.

The Cougars lead the league with 21 triples and are third in stolen bases (56) and fourth in doubles (91). They also rank in the top six in hits, batting average, runs scored and slugging percentage.

On the mound, junior Jordan Lewis continues to lead the team with a 5-2 record and 3.55 ERA. He has pitched a team-high 76 innings and leads the team with 49 strikeouts. With his win on Sunday, Wiley improved to 3-4 with a 4.84 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 57.2 innings of work.

UTSA is 23-29 after going 1-2 against McNeese State last weekend in Lake Charles, La. The win in Sunday's finale snapped a five game losing streak for the Roadrunners. Riley Good leads the team with a .336 batting average, 15 doubles, three triples, two home runs and 32 RBIs.

On the mound, Casey Selsor leads the Roadrunners with a 4-5 record and a 3.31 ERA. He has allowed 30 earned runs with 67 strikeouts in a team-high 81.2 innings.

Tuesday's contest marks the second meeting this season between Houston and UTSA. The Cougars traveled to San Antonio on March 1 and came up short in a 7-6 loss. Ramsey led the Cougars, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Senior Travis Trial turned in a 2-for-3 performance with an RBI and a run scored.

Senior Chase Dempsay made the start, going 2.1 innings. He allowed three runs on two hits with two strikeouts. D.D. Towler made the start for the Roadrunners, going six scoreless innings with two strikeouts.

Houston holds a 15-8 lead in the all-time series and has split meetings with UTSA the last three seasons.
