Baseball Announces 2006 Camps Schedule
May 23, 2006 HOUSTON - The University of Houston baseball team will play host to several camps throughout the 2006 summer, head coach Rayner Noble recently announced. The 2006 camp schedule begins June 12-14 with the Little Cougar Camps for students ages 5 to 9 years old. The final camps of the summer will be held June 16-20 for students 10 to 18 years old. For the first time in the history of Cougar Baseball Camps, the coaches and instructors will use video to assist students during the annual Advanced Specialty Camp on July 6-7. Using the computer program that UH coaches use with their own players, camp instructors will film each camper and show them the areas of their game in which they can improve. In addition, instructors will be able to compare campers to some of the top hitters in Major League Baseball. Due to the filming and reviewing of film for each camper, the size of the Pitching and Hitting Camp will be limited to the first 30 students who sign up. All camps will be held at Cougar Field. Interested students are encouraged to visit CougarBaseballCamp.com for more information and free on-line registration. For other questions, parents and students can call the Cougar Baseball Office at 713-743-9396. 2006 University of Houston Baseball Summer Camps Schedule Cougar Baseball School (ages 7-12) June 19-23 9am-noon $170 Cougar Baseball School full/half day (ages 7-12) Advanced Specialty Camp (Video) Jr. Hitting (ages 7-12) 1pm - 4pm Cougar Baseball School Full/Half Day (ages 7-12)
