As they continue their road to the 2002 Conference USA Tournament Championship, the University of Houston Cougars, currently ranked No. 10 in the nation, will take on the Tulane Green Wave on Saturday, May 25, at 8:00 a.m. (CST) at Graigner Stadium in Kinston, N.C.

Tulane (35-24) defeated Southern Miss by a final of 12-5 on Friday afternoon to eliminate the Golden Eagles and advance to face Houston. The Cougars (43-14) enter the game looking for their eleventh straight victory.

In the double-elimination format of the anual league tournament, should Houston defeat Tulane, they will automatically advance to the championship game to be played on Sunday, May 26, at 1:00 p.m. (CST), where they will play either East Carolina or South Florida. Should Tulane win, Houston will drop to the next bracket and force a second game against the Green Wave to decide who advances to the finals.

In the two schools' only meeting this season, the Cougars swept the Green Wave in a three-game set, March 22-24, at Cougar Field.

Tomorrow's game can be heard live over the internet at www.kgbcradio.cc. The championship game on Sunday can be heard over the airwaves in Houston on 1520 AM.
