HOUSTON, Texas - Postseason awards continued to pour in Monday for University of Houston pitcher Brad Sullivan and relief pitcher Jesse Crain.

Both players were named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America teams. Sullivan garnered First-Team honors on his fourth squad in 2002, while Crain was a Second-Team selection.

This season, Sullivan established himself as one of the nation's finest pitchers. He became the first pitcher in Conference USA history to win the pitching Triple Crown with a 13-1 record, a UH single-season record 157 strikeouts and a 1.93 ERA.

The Nederland, Texas, native became even stronger as the season drew to an end, racking up a perfect 3-0 record with a 0.36 ERA in three straight starts during the C-USA Tournament, NCAA Regional at Mesa and NCAA Super Regional at Austin.

Crain was a potent force out of the Cougar bullpen as he compiled a school single-season record 10 saves and tossed 35.2 consecutive shutout innings, the second longest streak in school history. The Boulder, Colo., native gave up only one earned run and two runs total during the entire 2002 campaign.
