HOUSTON -- University of Houston baseball player Jimmy Cesario was named to the Cape Cod Elite 11 by Rivals.com for his play this summer in the Cape Cod League. Cesario is playing for the Falmouth Commodores in Bourne, Mass.

Cesario ranks No. 7 on the Cape Cod Elite 11 list and currently leads his team with a .381 batting average including a home run and 29 RBI. He also has a .478 slugging percentage and a .429 on base percentage.

A native of Metairie, La., Cesario was selected in the 46th round of the MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies.

Despite missing 10 games in late March as a result of a wrist injury for the Cougars, Cesario finished the year with a .326 batting average, nine home runs and 41 RBI. He was also named to the All-Tournament Teams for both the C-USA Championship and the NCAA College Station Regional.
