HOUSTON — The University of Houston baseball team will wrap up its fall season with its annual Red-White World Series scheduled for Wednesday (3:15 p.m.), Thursday (2:30 p.m.) and Friday (3:15 p.m.), if necessary at Cougar Field.
The 2013 will split into two teams and play a full nine-inning game over the three-day period. Depending on the results, the Friday scrimmage is slated as an ‘if necessary’ game at the moment.
“The Red-White World Series gives our staff a chance to evaluate the work our team has put in this fall,” third-year head coach Todd Whitting said. “Our expectations for our ball club haven’t changed and we are excited to see the progress our team has made over the last several weeks.”
The Red-White World Series is free and open to the public. The Cougars’ 2013 schedule has been released and features 33 home games at Cougar Field as well as three at Minute Maid Park in the Houston College Classic.
