HOUSTON - The University of Houston baseball team volunteered Sunday afternoon at the Birdies For The Brave charity golf tournament at Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club.
The Fourth Annual Birdies For The Brave Gala and Tournament was a two-day affair at Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club. It began on Nov. 5 with a dinner, silent auction and military presentation. The weekend concluded with Sunday's golf tournament.
The Cougar baseball team assisted with the participant's golf bags and helped on the course as needed. They were also recognized during the pre-tournament program for volunteering at the event.

Birdies for the Brave is a nationwide program launched by the U.S. Department of Defense that recognizes citizen's support for military men and women and communicates that support to members of our Armed Forces at home and abroad.
Each year, proceeds raised from the golf tournament go to help numerous home front groups, directly benefiting the men and women in uniform and their families.
