HOUSTON (AP) - Cedric Williams had 19 points and 11 rebounds as Louisiana-Lafayette beat cold-shooting Houston 72-56 Saturday night.

Louisiana-Lafayette (9-4) jumped to a 35-19 halftime lead as Houston (2-8) hit just 26 percent from the field. The Cougars finished the game with 35 percent shooting.

Michael Southhall added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Chris Cameron had 10 points and six boards for Louisiana-Lafayette, which outrebounded Houston 59-37.

Louis Truscott led Houston with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. But he also led the Cougars with five of their 15 turnovers.

Ramon Dyer was the only other Houston player in double figures with 10 points.
