Final Stats

HOUSTON (AP) - Lanny Smith scored 22 points, had five assists and three steals to lead Houston to a 93-82 victory over Centenary on Tuesday night.

Smith hit 7-of-20 from the field, including 5-of-13 from 3-point range. He also hit 3-of-6 free throws.

Andre Owens added 16 points for Houston (10-6).

Chad Maclies scored 22 points and Tyrone Hamilton came off the bench to add 20 for Centenary (2-12). Curtis Tillman scored 17.

Houston scored 26 points off 19 Centenary turnovers.

The Cougars shot 44 percent from the field to 58 percent for Centenary.

Houston led 47-29 at the half.
