Final Stats

EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Jason Williams scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Texas-El Paso to a 69-63 win over Houston on Saturday night.

Williams also shot 2-of-2 from 3-point range and had four assists. Miguel Ayala added 17 points for UTEP (18-7, 10-2 Conference USA), Will Kimble had 12 and Kevin Henderson added 11. Kimble also had 10 rebounds for the Miners.

Ramon Dyer and Oliver Lafayette each scored 19 points for Houston (18-7, 8-4). Dyer had 10 rebounds and shot 5-of-10 from 3-point range, and Lafayette made 3 of 12 3-point attempts. Brian Latham had a game-high six assists.

UTEP shot 43 percent from the field and Houston shot 34 percent.

UTEP led 31-27 at halftime.
