TEAM NOTES

• With Wednesday's loss, the Cougars fell to 19-18 (.514) all-time against Tulsa ... In addition, the Cougars fell to 7-11 (.389) against Tulsa in Oklahoma.

• Wednesday's game is the only time during the 2008-09 regular season that the Cougars will face Tulsa.

• This marked the fourth consecutive year that the Cougars played Tulsa in basketball... The series has been played at least once every year since the 2005-06 season.

• The Cougars return to action at 3 p.m., Saturday, when they face Conference USA-rival Rice inside Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston on the Rice campus.


INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• With 24 points, junior guard Kelvin Lewis recorded his 11th 20-point game this season and the 14th of his career... It also was his second straight 20-point game.

• Junior guard Kelvin Lewis played all 40 minutes in a regulation game for the seventh time this season and during his career.


HEAD COACH Tom Penders NOTES
• With Wednesday's loss, head coach Tom Penders fell to 625-419 (.599) during his career... Penders also fell to 98-58 (.628) during his UH tenure.

• With Wednesday's loss, head coach Tom Penders fell to 3-2 (.600) against Tulsa during his career with all four games coming during his tenure at Houston... Penders also fell to 1-2 (.333) against Tulsa in Oklahoma during his career.

• With Wednesday's loss, head coach Tom Penders fell to 47-28 (.627) in Conference USA games during his career... Penders also fell to 267-160 (.625) in all conference games during his career.
