HARTFORD, Conn. (AP)- Devonta Pollard lead Houston (13-19) with 14 points in Friday's quarterfinal loss to second-seeded Tulsa.
The Golden Hurricane (22-9) will face the winner of the semifinal between No. 6 Connecticut and No. 3 Cincinnati Saturday.
Houston stayed within striking distance down the stretch, scoring its final 15 points from beyond the arc, but could not bridge the gap and was held scoreless over the final 3:11. The Cougars finished 7 of 27 from distance and 35.1 percent from the field (20 of 57).
D'Andre Wright's layup with 10:10 to play in the game gave Tulsa the lead for good. Harrison dunked and scored on a layup to complete the 7-0 run that put Tulsa in charge.
LeRon Barnes hit back-to-back 3s for Houston to cut the lead to 54-51 with 3:11 left, but got no closer.
