FORT WORTH, Texas - Senior guard Adam Brown led four Cougars in double digits with 14 points and four 3-pointers, but it would not be enough as TCU took a 79-63 win against the University of Houston men's basketball team Saturday afternoon inside Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

TCU grabbed a 36-31 halftime lead after holding the Cougars to only nine field goals and 34.6 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes.

The Horned Frogs continued to expand their lead in the second half and then used a 22-8 run during an 8-minute stretch to seize control of the game.

The Cougars struggled from the field throughout the game, hitting a season-low 40.4 percent. Meanwhile, TCU hit better than 45 percent from the field, including 51.6 percent in the first half. The Horned Frogs also converted 19 Cougar giveaways into 26 points to snap a 2-game losing streak to the Cougars.

The Cougars' leading scorer, Brown led Houston with 14 points, thanks to 4-of-6 shooting from the arc and two treys in each half. Freshman forward Alandise Harris and sophomore forward Kendrick Washington came off the bench to score 12 points apiece, while senior guard Zamal Nixon added 10 points with a pair of 3-pointers.

With the loss, the Cougars fell to 4-2 overall. TCU improved to 4-2.
