** With 12 blocked shots, the Cougars tied the fifth-highest single-game performance in school history... The total also was the highest since the team swatted 12 opposing shots against Conference USA rival Southern Miss on Feb. 3, 2004.
** The Cougars competed in their first true road game of the 2008-09 season at Middle Tennessee... UH opened the season at the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer by splitting neutral-site games against Georgia Southern and Presbyterian at host Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium.
** With only eight turnovers, the Cougars recorded their fifth straight game with fewer than 10 turnovers.
** With the win, the Cougars improved to 2-0 in the all-time series against Middle Tennessee... Tuesday's game was the Cougars' first game in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
** With Tuesday's win, the Cougars won their second straight game against Middle Tennessee.

** With 24 points, junior guard Aubrey Coleman recorded his second 20-point game of the season and his career.

** Playing 37 minutes, junior guard Aubrey Coleman set a personal high in that category, topping his previous best of 29 minutes against Alcorn State (Nov. 18, 2008).
** With six blocks, senior center Marcus Cousin set a career high... His total bested his previous high of four blocks against Conference USA-rival Memphis (Feb. 13, 2008).
** With eight points, sophomore forward Horace McGloster tied his career high, set against Western Kentucky (Nov. 15, 2008) and against Conference USA-rival UTEP (Jan. 19, 2008).
** With the win, Penders improved to 2-0 all-time against Middle Tennessee.
