HOUSTON (AP) - Marcel Mosley scored 33 points and Arkansas-Pine Bluff knocked off Houston 61-56 in overtime on Wednesday night.
The Golden Lions (2-8) scored their first road victory in seven tries while handing the Cougars (5-2) their first home loss in five games.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff led 27-16 at halftime and was up 16 points with 15:29 left in the game before Houston scrambled back, tying the game with 36 seconds left on two free throws by LeRon Barnes. Neither team scored in regulation after that.
The Lions scored the first eight points of overtime. Houston got within three with 30 seconds left after a free throw and grabbed an offensive rebound, but Tevin Hammond made a steal and Mosely hit four free throws down the stretch to get the win.
JoVaughn Love had 10 rebounds for the Lions.
Jherrod Stiggers led Houston with 16 points. Barnes added 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Houston wraps up Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic Regional Round play against South Carolina State at 1 p.m., Saturday, inside Hofheinz Pavilion. It will be the first time that Houston has faced the Bulldogs on the hardwood.
Shortly after that game, the Cougars will head to the airport to fly out to Las Vegas to compete in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic Championship Round.
The Championship Round begins at 9:30 p.m. (CST) Monday against Boise State. The Cougars then meet the winner/loser of Texas Tech-Loyola (Ill.) on Tuesday evening in the final game before Christmas.

Fans also have a choice of a pair of mini plans when choosing their ticket options. With the Conference Pack, fans can purchase tickets to each of the Cougars' nine American Athletic Conference home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion, starting at only $8 per game in the Reserved 3 section.
Fans can choose the 3-Point Pack and pick any three of the Cougars' 17 regular-season home games with prices starting as low as $9 per game in the Reserved 3 section.
Tickets for groups of 10 or more can be purchased for as low as $9 per ticket in Reserved 3 (Section 101-102, 115-116, 126-128) for 17 regular-season home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Groups of 10 or more can buy tickets for only $14 per ticket in the Reserved 2 (Sections 103-104, 109-111, 117-119 and 124-125), while Reserved 3 seats (Section 105-108, 120-123) are available at $19 per ticket.
The ticket cost per person falls even more for groups of 25 or more. Group administrators are encouraged to call or visit the Athletics Ticket Office soon to secure their seats.

CONTINENTAL TIRE LAS VEGAS CLASSIC TICKETS
Tickets for the 2014 Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic Championship Round inside Orleans Arena in Las Vegas are now on sale at the University of Houston Athletics Ticket Office, and fans are encouraged to make their purchases soon due to limited numbers.
Fans can purchase tickets to both of the Cougars' games in the Championship Round for $110. The Cougars open the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic at 9:30 p.m. (CST) Dec. 22, when they meet Boise State inside Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
Depending on the outcome of the Boise State game, the Cougars will face Texas Tech or Loyola (Ill.) on Dec. 23 in a game televised on FOX Sports 1.
