HOUSTON - University of Houston Men's and Women's Basketball fans can learn more about their favorite team with the first edition of Houston Cougar Basketball Central, starting at 4 p.m., Tuesday, on Comcast SportsNet Houston.

Each Houston Cougar Basketball Central will debut weekly at 4 p.m., Tuesdays, for the rest of the 2012-13 season on Comcast SportsNet Houston. Re-airs of the show will be shown later throughout the week at various times.

The re-air schedule has been set for January and will soon be finalized for February and March. Fans should check their local listings for broadcasts in their areas.

Men's head coach James Dickey and Women's head coach Todd Buchanan will join host Kevin Eschenfelder to recap recent games, look ahead to upcoming contests and discuss the latest news in Houston Basketball, college basketball and college athletics.

UP NEXT
The Cougars open Conference USA play and wrap up their season-long, six-game homestand when they meet SMU at 7 p.m., Wednesday, inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Following the SMU contest, Houston continues its C-USA slate when it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., to face C-USA rival Southern Miss at 2 p.m., Saturday.

From there, the team returns to the friendly confines of Hofheinz Pavilion when it meets league-rival UCF at 5 p.m., Jan. 19. That will be the start of a brief, three-game homestand with Tulsa (Jan. 23) and UAB (Jan. 26) to follow.

Single-game tickets for all remaining home games and a variety of ticket packs to suit any budget are on sale now.
