HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Men's Basketball looks to return to its winning ways when it hosts American Athletic Conference rival Tulsa at 6 p.m., Thursday, inside H&PE Arena in a game presented by Maintenance Supply Headquarters.
As the $60 million renovation of Fertitta Center continues, the Cougars have posted a 7-0 record inside H&PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University this season.
Thursday's game will be the only time the Cougars face Tulsa during the regular season. Houston has won three of the last four games against the Golden Hurricane, including a 64-61 decision inside Hofheinz Pavilion on Jan. 4, 2017, in the most recent meeting in Houston.
The Cougars enter Thursday's game on the heels of an 81-63 loss at No. 9 Wichita State on Jan. 4. That setback ended Houston's four-game winning streak and was only the team's second loss in the last 13 games.
Senior guard Rob Gray leads the Cougars and ranks second in the American Athletic Conference with 18.6 points per game. Senior forward Devin Davis ranks second among the Cougars with 11.5 points per game but leads Houston with 6.7 rebounds per contest.

ALL college students can receive one FREE ticket to Thursday's game by showing a current, valid ID at the door.
Fans can park for $5 while spaces are available in the TSU garage adjacent to H&PE Arena. Fans wishing to pay for parking should enter the garage off Blodgett Street.
Fans also can use the FREE parking shuttle to H&PE Arena during the 2017-18 season. Shuttle service begins at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, in Lot 12A near Gate 3 of the TDECU Stadium parking lot.
Shuttle return service begins immediately after the game and will run for one hour.
Tulsa brings a 10-6 overall record and 3-1 mark in The American into Thursday's game.
Thursday's game is the only time the Cougars will face Tulsa during the regular season.
In most recent action, Tulsa dropped a 76-67 decision at Memphis in Memphis, Tenn... Tigers outscored Tulsa by 10 points in the second half.
Golden Hurricane has won three of its last four games.
Against Memphis, sophomore forward Martins Igbanu scored a team-high 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line... Senior forward Junior Etou added 12 points on 3-of-10 shooting with a team-high six rebounds and tied for the team lead with senior guard Jaleel Wheeler with three assists.
This season, Etou leads Tulsa with 17.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game... Taplin stands second with 11.9 points per game but leads the Golden Hurricane with 3.9 assists per contest... DaQuan Jeffries ranks third on the team with 10.0 points per game and averages 5.3 rebounds per contest to stand third among the Golden Hurricane.
Head Coach Frank Haith is in his fourth season at Tulsa and his 14th season overall as an NCAA collegiate head coach.
Has compiled a 68-46 record at Tulsa and is 250-175 during his career.. Previously built a 129-101 record at Miami (Fla.)(2004-11) and was 53-28 at Missouri (2011-14).
Haith has posted a 4-3 record against Houston during his career with all seven previous meetings coming during his Tulsa tenure.
