    HOUSTON - As the University of Houston men's basketball season moves forward, Cougar fans only have a limited number of regular-season games remaining inside Hofheinz Pavilion to see their favorite team in action.

    The Athletics Ticket Office is offering several exciting ticket packages to see the Cougars, who recently upset No. 19/18 UCF in Hofheinz Pavilion in impressive fashion.


    HOUSTON HOOPS 4-PACK (UTEP and UAB games)
    Fans can enjoy some exciting home games at a low price by purchasing the Houston Hoops 4-Pack. For the UTEP (Jan. 22) and UAB (Feb. 26) games, fans can purchase 4 general admission tickets, four small drinks, 4 hot dogs and 4 hats from the UH Fan Shop (selected styles) for only $48.

    If more than four tickets are needed, each additional ticket purchased will cost only $12 and will receive the extra items.

    The Houston Hoops 4-Pack will not be available on game days at the Hofheinz Pavilion ticket windows.


    H-ASSOCIATION BBQ and TULANE GAME
    On Saturday, Feb. 12, the Houston Athletics Department will host a pair of exciting events, and fans can be a part of both for only $20.

    The "H" Association will hold its annual barbecue at 1 p.m., Feb. 12, inside the Athletics/Alumni Center. For only $20, fans can enjoy good food and company at the barbecue (a $15 value) and receive one reserved seat ticket ($15 value) to the men's basketball team's showdown against league-rival Tulane, scheduled for 4 p.m., Feb. 12.

    The "H" Association is a group of letterwinners that gives back to the Houston Athletics Department and its student-athletes through fundraisers and direct contributions. Fans and former letterwinners can find out more about the "H" Association by visiting UHLetterwinners.com.

     

     


    PICK 4-PACK (fans' choice of any four remaining home games)
    In the Pick 4-Pack, fans can make their selections from any four of the Cougars' remaining home games. Reserved tickets cost only $52, while fans can buy general admission tickets for only $36 in this package.

    The Cougars have seven home games remaining against Conference USA rivals Tulsa (Jan. 19), UTEP (Jan. 22), Marshall (Feb. 1), Tulane (Feb. 12), SMU (Feb. 16), UAB (Feb. 26) and Rice (March 5.


    HALFTIME ENTERTAINMENT
    Fans will enjoy the halftime show during the UTEP game on Jan. 22. Nationally renowned hypnotist Tom Silver will pull volunteers out of the crowd at Hofheinz Pavilion to take part in his show.

    Fans will not want to miss this funny and exciting entertainment as volunteers act like famous celebrities and much more.


    HOW TO ORDER TICKETS
    Cougar men's basketball tickets are available now. Fans have several options when ordering their men's basketball tickets. They can visit the Athletics Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the Athletics/Alumni Center by the UH Fan Shop, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    Fans also can call 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647) or click the Tickets link at UHCougars.com to buy tickets today.


    UP NEXT
    The Cougars return to action at 2 p.m., Saturday, when they meet SMU in Moody Coliseum in Dallas. That game can be seen live on The Texas Channel on Time Warner Cable (ch. 185 in Dallas-Fort Worth) with Pete Stein calling the play-by-play action and Dave Michaels serving as analyst.

    Fans outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area should check their local listings for broadcasts in their areas.

    The Cougars return home to play host to Tulsa at 6 p.m., Wednesday, inside Hofheinz Pavilion. That game will be televised live on CBS College Sports.

    Houston continues its brief homestand when it meets league-rival UTEP at 7 p.m., Jan. 22, inside Hofheinz Pavilion.

    Fans can listen to all Cougar Basketball games on SportsTalk 790 AM with Tom Franklin calling the play-by-play action and Cougar legend Elvin Hayes serving as analyst. Games also can be heard live on UHCougars.com.
