HOUSTON - Due to his team's travel plans, University of Houston men's basketball head coach James Dickey announced a change in day for his radio show next week.

The Pulse with James Dickey will air from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, from Home Plate Bar and Grill (1800 Texas Ave., Ste. 100) in downtown Houston near Minute Maid Park. Fans who can't attend the show in the restaurant can hear the game live on SportsTalk 790 AM.

Fans are invited to ask questions through the team's Twitter page at twitter.com/UHCougarMBK.

The show is regularly scheduled for Thursdays during the Conference USA season, but Houston's travel plans next week forced the change. The Cougars will embark on a two-game, six-day road swing beginning Tuesday. After playing at UAB on Wednesday night, the Cougars meet Tulane in New Orleans on Feb. 8.

Fans are invited to attend Monday's show with Coach Dickey, host Brett Dolan and a Cougar player to be named later. That crew will look back at this weekend's game and look ahead to the team's road trip, among other topics.

The show will return to its regular Thursday slot for the rest of the season, beginning Feb. 9.

Before Monday's show, though, Dickey leads his Cougars into a C-USA showdown against UTEP at 7 p.m., Saturday, inside Hofheinz Pavilion. That game will be part of a doubleheader with the women's team, which meets Rice at 4 p.m., Saturday.

Fans can hear the game live on SportsTalk 790 AM with Tom Franklin calling the play-by-play action and Cougar legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Elvin Hayes providing analysis. The pregame show is slated to begin at 6:45 p.m., Saturday.
