    HOUSTON - University of Houston basketball fans are invited to attend the next live broadcast of Tom Penders from Ragin Cajun (9600 Westheimer, Suite 80, Houston, 77063) on Thursday, Feb. 11.

    The weekly radio show airs live from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays in selected Houston restaurants for the remainder of the season. The show can be heard live on SportsTalk 790 AM or on the Internet at and will be hosted by the "Voice of the Cougars" Tom Franklin.

    Fans are invited to join Penders and Franklin at the selected restaurant each week as the duo discusses recent Cougar Basketball action and upcoming games, college basketball, the world of sports and much more.

    Fans also can click the Ask Coach Penders button on the main page at to submit a question that could be asked on the show.

    Following Thursday's show, the next edition of The Pulse with Tom Penders will broadcast live from Chili's Too (4800 Calhoun) on the UH campus on Thursday, Feb. 18.

    The Cougars return home this weekend to play host to league-rival SMU at 4 p.m., Saturday, inside Hofheinz Pavilion.

    From there, the team hits the road again to meet league-rival UCF at 6 p.m. (CST), Tuesday, at UCF Arena in Orlando. The UCF game can be seen live on CSS (Houston Comcast channel 129) with Matt Stewart calling the play-by-play action.

    The Cougars will be looking for revenge against UCF after the Knights claimed a 78-71 win on Jan. 20 at Hoheinz Pavilion.

    Both games can be heard live on SportsTalk 790 AM or on the Internet at with Tom Franklin calling the play-by-play action. The pregame show for both games is slated to begin 15 minutes before tip-off.
