HOUSTON - As the University of Houston Men's Basketball program prepares for its regular-season home finale, it will do so on a night in which it recognizes local heroes who provide so much to the community.
The Cougars play host to American Athletic Conference rival USF at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 inside Hofheinz Pavilion. As part of Heroes Night, military (current and veterans), police, fire department and EMS personnel can receive two free tickets to that game.
These Heroes are asked to call Darron Pinkney at 713-743-9033 by the end of business, Friday, Feb. 28 to request their free tickets. Heroes can purchase additional general admission tickets as needed for only $4 each. A photo ID will be required to pick up tickets.
Prior to the Cougars' March 4 game, the program will recognize its five-man senior class. Forward J.J. Richardson and guards Tione Womack, Brandon Morris, Jimmie Jones and Lawrence Paye will be honored for their contributions to Houston Basketball through the years.

Following Thursday's game, the Cougars open the month of March when it faces Temple for the second time this season at 8 p.m. (CST), Saturday, inside the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.
From there, Houston closes out its regular-season home schedule when it faces USF at 7:30 p.m., March 4, inside Hofheinz Pavilion.
