    HOUSTON - The final episode of Cougar Talk with Tom Penders presented by Capital One recently was moved to Tuesday, March 17.

    Due to the Cougars' travel plans to the 2009 Conference USA Championship in Memphis, Tenn., Penders and administrators with ISP Sports and 790 AM The Sports Animal agreed to move the show to that date.

    In addition, the final show will air from from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the studios of 790 AM The Sports Animal. Cougar Talk with Tom Penders presented by Capital One has regularly aired live from Irma's Southwest Grill at the corner of Austin and Texas in downtown Houston.

    Although fans won't be able to enjoy the live atmosphere from Irma's, they still are invited to call the show with questions or submit a question at UHCougars.com.

    Tom Franklin, the Voice of the Cougars, will host the final show on March 17 and take a look back at the Cougars' run at the 2009 C-USA Championship and look ahead to any further postseason play.


    NEXT GAME FOR HOUSTON
    Penders and his Cougar team open play at the 2009 C-USA Championship at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, when they meet No. 12 seed SMU at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn. After sweeping the regular-season series against the Mustangs, the Cougars look for their third win against SMU in 2008-09.

    With a win against SMU, the Cougars will advance to the quarterfinals to face No. 4 seed UTEP at 8:30 p.m., Thursday.

    Fans can hear all Cougar Basketball games live on 790 AM The Sports Animal with Tom Franklin calling the play-by-play action. Fans also can follow live stats by clicking the GameTracker link at UHCougars.com.
