HOUSTON - As the University of Houston men's basketball team prepare for the 2011 Buick Conference USA Championship, fans should note a change in the broadcast schedule of The Pulse with James Dickey presented by New York Life.
The last show of the season originally was scheduled for Thursday, but the Cougars' postseason plans forced a change. Instead, the final show will air at 7 p.m., Monday, March 14 from The Junction Bar and Grill at 160 West Gray Street in Houston.
Dickey will join with Tom Franklin to discuss the Cougars' recent run at the C-USA Championship, look back at the 2010-11 season and look ahead to the 2011-12 campaign. Fans are invited to call into the show or ask questions by clicking the Ask the Coach tab at UHCougars.com.
Before Monday's radio show, though, the Cougars meet No. 6 seed Marshall at 6:30 p.m. (CST)/5:30 p.m. (MST) Wednesday during the first round of the Buick C-USA Championship.
The winner of that game faces No. 3 seed and host UTEP at 6:30 p.m. (CST)/5:30 p.m. (MST) Wednesday during the Buick C-USA Championship quarterfinals.
Fans can hear all Cougar men's basketball games live on SportsTalk 790 AM KBME with Franklin calling the play-by-play action and Cougar legend Elvin Hayes serving as analyst.
The quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2011 Buick C-USA Championship can be seen live on CBS College Sports with the championship game slated to air Saturday morning on CBS Sports National.
Wednesday's first-round games will not be televised.
