Houston - University of Houston basketball fans are encouraged to join UH head basketball coach Tom Penders and host Tom Franklin tonight, Monday, March 13, as they preview Houston's NIT First Round game against BYU and the NIT Tournament on the final "Cougar Talk with Tom Penders" radio show that airs live on ESPN 790.
The show will be broadcast from Irma's Southwest Grill that is located in downtown Houston on the corner of Texas and Austin.
Fans also will have a chance to interact with Cougar players at the restaurant.
Houston enters Wednesday night's game at Hofheinz Pavilion with a 20-9 overall record this season. BYU is the most improved team in the nation this year and enters the contest with a 20-8 mark under first-year head coach David Rose. Rose was a team captain on Houston's famed Phi Slama Jama team in 1982-83.
Wednesday night's game tips off at 7:30 p.m. and those fans who purchased their tickets via telephone during normal business hours on Monday can call (713) Go Coogs or 877-Cougar5. Tickets can also be purchased through the Internet by logging onto the UHCougars.com website.
Tickets for the game cost $15 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission plus applicable charges. Group Tickets are available for Groups of 10 or more people for $4 each.
Students of either school may purchase tickets at the UH Ticket Office in person for $4 with a valid University ID.
Parking for the game will be $5.
Season ticket holders can purchase their current seat location until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14.
Those fans who purchase tickets before Monday night's radio show can pick up their tickets at Irma's Monday night.
