ATLANTA -- University of Houston Men's Basketball fans will have plenty of options for places from which to cheer for the Cougars in the Houston area during the team's NIT First-Round matchup at Georgia Tech on Wednesday night.
The Cougars received their first postseason NIT invitation since 2006 on Sunday night and will take on the Yellow Jackets at 8 p.m. (CST), Wednesday, inside McCamish Pavilion.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Kelvin Sampson, the Cougars have engineered one of the nation's biggest turnarounds from a year ago. Finishing 13-19 in 2014-15, Sampson has led a 9.5-game improvement this season to tie for 12th nationally.
Sophomore guard Rob Gray, Jr., leads the Cougars and the American Athletic Conference with 16.3 points per game, while junior guard Damyean Dotson is one of only three players to rank among the league's top-12 leaders in both scoring and rebounding.
With a win against Georgia Tech, the Cougars would advance to the NIT Second Round to take on the winner of the No. 1 seed South Carolina-No. 8 seed High Point game at a date and site to be determined.
