Smith Selected To Play In Portsmith Invitational Tournament

Houston, Texas - University of Houston senior guard Dominic Smith has been selected to participate in the Portsmith Invitational Tournament in Virginia. Smith, who led the Cougars in scoring with 15.1 points per game, was selected as an alternate player on Wednesday.

Smith led the Cougars in scoring with 15.1 points per game and he was one of the top five three point shooters in Conference USA with a .426 percentage after making 49 of his 115 attempts this season.

He also was one of the top eight free throw shooters in the league with a .799 percentage, having made 151 of his 189 free throws.

In addition, he scored 30 points twice during his senior year, including a career-high 38 points against Southern Miss in Hofheinz Pavilion on January 23.

The Portsmith Invitational is one of two NBA Pre-Draft Camps that feature the top senior players in the nation.
