Men's Basketball Summer Camps Set for June

HOUSTON - With the summer quickly approaching, future basketball stars can have lots of fun and take their games to another level with the start of University of Houston Coach Kelvin Sampson's Basketball Summer Camps throughout the month of June.

Sampson and a talented camp coaching staff will lead a variety of camps throughout June for boys, young men and teams of all ages. Parents can read more about all the camps and register online by visiting uhcougars.com/mbbsummercamps and following the appropriate links or by clicking here.

CAMPS SCHEDULE
All Kelvin Sampson Basketball Camps will be held inside Hofheinz Pavilion, the Athletics/Alumni Center and the new Guy V. Lewis Development Facility on the UH campus near the intersection of Cullen Boulevard and Holman Street (3422 Cullen Blvd., 77204).

Elite Camp Boys
Grades 9-12
June 12, 2016 9 a.m. -- 3 p.m. $50 ($25 non-refundable)
Team Camp JV & Varsity Teams, HS Level AAU/Club Teams June 23-25, 2016 TBA $325 for 1 team;
$625 for 2 teams;
$900 for 3 teams

ABOUT THE CAMPS
All camps feature expert daily individual skills instruction and skill work with the Houston Basketball Camps' staff and student-athletes. Players will be grouped by ages for instruction and drills with divisions according to playing experience and ability

Campers will enjoy daily team and individual competitions with individual and team awards recognition at the end of camp. Day campers will receive a camp t-shirt, evaluation, certificate and camp basketball.


IMPORTANT CAMP INFORMATION
Locations

Camps will be held in the Athletics/Alumni Center, Hofheinz Pavilion and the Guy V. Lewis Development Facility.

Camp Registration/Check-In
Registration will take place on the first day of each camp in Hofheinz Pavilion on the Holman St. entrance. Please arrive an hour before camp starts in order to register your camper.

What to Bring
Day Campers must wear gym shoes, shorts and a T-shirt. In addition, Day Campers should not bring personal articles, including basketballs and water bottles, to camp to ensure that they are not stolen or misplaced. Cell phones will be put away during camp time. The camp will be not responsible for any lost or stolen articles

Pick-Up and Drop-Off
Pick-up and drop-off of campers will be held at Hofheinz Pavilion. Day Camps 1 and 2 will end promptly at 5 p.m., each day.

Camp Trainers
A full-time, certified athletic trainer will be on site throughout camp. If parents have any medical concerns regarding their children, they are asked to speak to the trainer at check-in. In the waiver statement that was electronically signed, please note that over-the-counter medications may be provided. Should you have any questions about this policy, please speak to our camp trainer at check-in.

Meals
Meals are not provided, but snacks are available for purchase throughout each day. At registration, parents may set up for each child a Camp Bank account that will act as a debit system so campers do not need to hold cash at camp.

Parking
Parents are welcome to attend all camp sessions. Parking will be available Visitors' Entrance of the TDECU Stadium Garage on Holman Street. The first 30 minutes to park inside the Parking Garage are free; after 30 minutes, drivers will be required to pay garage fees to park longer.

Miscellaneous Information
Refund Policy

• $50 of total is considered a deposit and is non-refundable
• If camper cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances, notification must be made prior to check-in.
• No other camper may attend in place of your child due to absence.
• A $25 failed payment/returned check fee will be charged per transaction.
