    Parents can fill out the Registration form online, print out and mail in OR fill out completely, save to their computers and email to mwyoung2@central.uh.edu.


    HOUSTON - With less than a week before the start, space is still available for University of Houston head coach James Dickey's Basketball Summer Camps.

    Dickey and his staff will offer four camps, beginning Monday, June 11. With limited enrollment for each camp, fans are encouraged to register early. Young players looking to develop their games and have fun with friends will thoroughly enjoy these camps.

    Only checks, money orders or cash will be accepted until two weeks before the start of each camp. No checks will be accepted beginning two weeks prior to each camp. Campers who register on the day of camp must pay in cash or by money order ONLY.

    Credit cards will NOT be accepted as payment at any time.

    THE CAMPS
    The Cougars will offer three Day Camps, costing $240 each, for boys grades first through 12th. Those camps will be held June 11-14, June 18-21 and Aug. 1-4. These camps will run from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., each day with an early dismissal at noon ONLY on Aug. 4.

    In addition to the Day Camps, the Cougars will host a Position Camp on June 16. That camp, which features two sessions, will cost $30 per session and be held from 8 a .m., to noon (shooting/skills) and from 1 to 5 p.m., (point guard/post) on June 16.

    Campers can sign up for one or both sessions of the Position Camp, depending on their interests.

     

     

    All camps feature expert daily individual skills instruction from the Houston basketball staff and student-athletes and skill work. Players will be grouped by ages for instruction and drills with divisions according to playing experience and ability.

    Campers will enjoy daily team and individual competitions with individual and team awards recognition at the end of camp.

    Players also will receive a free camp T-shirt and attend an NCAA Student-Athlete information session. Lunch is included for all Day campers each day. However, lunch will NOT be provided for the Position Camp on June 16.

    Day Camp - Session 1

    Cost: $240 ($125 non-refundable deposit)
    For: Boys Grades 1-12
    Dates: June 11-14

    Position Camp
    Cost: $30 (per session)
    For: Boys Grades 1-12
    Date: June 16
    Time: 8 a.m. - noon (shooting/skills; 1 p.m.) - 5 p.m. (point guard/post)

    IMPORTANT CAMP INFORMATION
    Day Camp Registration/Check-In

    Please arrive 30 minutes early on the first day of camp to check in and complete registration. Camp begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. each day with the exception of the last day on Aug. 4. Arrival and dismissal will be held at the Athletics/Alumni Center (Entrance 15G).

    Camp Store
    Snacks and drinks will be sold from the concession stand located in the Athletics/Alumni Center. A camp bank will be available to safely keep spending money each day of camp.

    Refund Policy
    To reserve a spot in camp, a deposit is required. The full cost must be paid in full two weeks prior to the start of camp. There will be a $100 non-refundable administrative fee for cancellations. Campers who leave after registration will not receive refunds.

    What to Bring
    Campus must wear gym shoes, shorts and a T-shirt. In addition, it is asked that campus do not bring personal articles, including basketballs, to camp to ensure that they are not stolen or misplaced. The camp will be not responsible for any lost or stolen articles.

    Parking
    Parents are welcome to attend all camp sessions. Parking will be available in Lot 16B - Student Lot. Please see the parking attendant at the front of the Athletics/Alumni Center for details.
