HOUSTON - Time is running out for young basketball players to sign up for head coach James Dickey's University of Houston Summer Camp before the start of the 2012-13 school year.
Space remains available for the final Day Camp, slated to run Aug. 1-4. With limited enrollment for each camp, fans are encouraged to register early. Players looking to develop their games and have fun with friends will thoroughly enjoy this camp. Walk-up campers are welcome
Only checks, money orders or cash will be accepted before the start of camp. Campers who register on the day of camp must pay in cash or by money order ONLY. Credit cards will NOT be accepted as payment at any time.
The final Day Camp costs $240 and is for boys grades first through 12th. That camp will be held Aug. 1-4., and will run from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., each day with an early dismissal at noon ONLY on Aug. 4.
All camps feature expert daily individual skills instruction from the Houston basketball staff and student-athletes and skill work. Players will be grouped by ages for instruction and drills with divisions according to playing experience and ability.
Campers will enjoy daily team and individual competitions with individual and team awards recognition at the end of camp.
Players also will receive a free camp T-shirt and attend an NCAA Student-Athlete information session. Lunch is included for all Day campers each day with the exception of the final day.

IMPORTANT CAMP INFORMATION
Day Camp Registration/Check-In
Please arrive 30 minutes early on the first day of camp to check in and complete registration. Camp begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. each day with the exception of the last day on Aug. 4. Arrival and dismissal will be held at the Athletics/Alumni Center (Entrance 15G).
Snacks and drinks will be sold from the concession stand located in the Athletics/Alumni Center. A camp bank will be available to safely keep spending money each day of camp.
To reserve a spot in camp, a deposit is required. The full cost must be paid in full two weeks prior to the start of camp. There will be a $100 non-refundable administrative fee for cancellations. Campers who leave after registration will not receive refunds.
What to Bring
Campers must wear gym shoes, shorts and a T-shirt. In addition, it is asked that campers do not bring personal articles, including basketballs, to camp to ensure that they are not stolen or misplaced. The camp will be not responsible for any lost or stolen articles.
Parents are welcome to attend all camp sessions. Parking will be available in Lot 16B - Student Lot. Please see the parking attendant at the front of the Athletics/Alumni Center for details.
