HOUSTON - The University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday that KPRC 950 AM will serve as its flagship station for Houston Football and Men's Basketball for the 2014-15 seasons. The flagship station for Houston Men's Basketball in 2013-14, KPRC 950 AM offers UH fans a consistent spot on their radio dial as the Cougars are the only sports organization to call the station its home.

"Both the University of Houston and Clear Channel Radio had a goal of a consistent radio home for Houston Football and Men's Basketball," Houston Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades said. "With KPRC 950 AM, we have a home Houston fans know they can turn to when the Cougars are in action without being affected by the schedules of any other organization."

KPRC 950 AM will also be home to the weekly in-season Tony Levine and Kelvin Sampson Radio Shows. Fans can check out the 2014 Houston Football broadcast schedule by clicking here.

"With the amount of flagship teams on the Clear Channel roster, our weekend inventory is sometimes limited and we wanted Houston fans to have a consistent station for every single game," Bryan Erickson, Clear Channel Director of AM Programming said. "We look forward to another exciting season of Houston Men's Basketball on KPRC 950 AM and we look forward to Houston Football joining the station's roster."

Kevin Eschenfelder returns for his second season as the Voice of the Cougars during the Houston Football season and will be joined in the booth by color analyst Ted Pardee, who enters his ninth season as a member of the UH broadcast team. Sideline reporter Jeremy Branham returns to the field for the second straight season, while Matt "Soccer" Thomas kicks things off 90 minutes prior to every game with the Houston Football Pregame Show.

Thomas will return as the Voice of the Cougars for Houston Men's Basketball and will be joined in his second season by former Houston great Elvin Hayes, who enters his fifth season as the team's color analyst.

Branham will also host the weekly Tony Levine Radio Show, while Thomas hosts the first season of the Kelvin Sampson Radio Show.
